This course is geared to introducing students to sculpture. Starting from drawing, sizing, creating the internal wire frame, covering with clay, detailing using a variety of techniques, baking, and coloring. Sculpting teaches students about every angle of the subject they wish to create, front, back, sides, top and bottom. The experience is thrilling as you see your vision form structure with your own hands. In this class students can expect to create 6-8 sculptures during the course of 12 weeks.

A class for 8-12 year olds who have achieved the skill level of working independently on projects, rarely needing a step by step demonstration by the teacher. Geared for the student who has mastered the basic skills in line, shape, proportion, perspective, and the ability to create volume through light logic, using 3 dimensional objects. Can stay focused and concentrated for a 2 hour class and is confident enough to explore various subject matter and live models with comfort.

Tanjore painting is a classical art form South India, from the town of Thanjavur. It dates back to 1600 AD. These paintings are known for their surface richness, vivid colors and compact composition. This class will take you through the intricate steps involved in producing an heirloom for your own household, one that you work on individually or as a family. A composition measuring 12\"x15\" can be completed over a period of 4-6 weeks. The time durations varies in relation to the size that you wish to work on. The price covers tuition only. All materials from the base board to Gold leaf to the semi-precious stones will be readily available at the studio at very reasonable prices.Students interested in this class will come to the studio for a one hour session every week and can expect to take work home in order to complete their art work.
